Painting and drawing is the cornerstone of my practice which informs my investigations into other modes of art-making, including 3-dimensional form. I continually interrogate my studio practice and it’s social relevance through a deep engagement with the field of socially-engaged, community and collaborative arts practice. I have received several significant awards, including the Pollock Krasner Foundation Award. I have exhibited in exhibitions internationally, with solo shows in London and Tokyo. My artists books are in major collections including the Tate Gallery and NIVAL Dublin.
I have recently been working on two major projects; Conversations in Portrait a virtual portrait project with older people across Ireland, and a year long residency at Sligo University Hospital for The Model Home of The Niland Collection. The body of work in sculpture and painting I have been developing in response to the Residency will be presented as a major exhibition at The Model in Autumn 2021.
