Toilets

There are public and accessible toilets on all levels of The Model. Baby changing facilities are on the ground floor and next to the Café.

Lifts

There are two lifts in The Model. Note* the smaller lift from café level to atrium is currently out of order with completed repair expected for September 2026.

Cloakroom

Lockers are provided for the public next to the bathrooms on the ground floor. Staff are on hand to assist if needed.

Seating

Seating is available throughout the building. In the atrium, there are couches, tables, and chairs for public use. The café also has plenty of seating, though it can be limited at busy times. Benches and additional seating are available in the galleries. Staff are on hand if you need assistance with additional seating in the gallery.

Café

The café is located at the Mall side of the building. Café opening hours are as follows:

  •  Monday – Friday: 8.30am – 5pm
  •  Thursday: 8.30am – 8pm
  •  Saturday: 11am – 5pm
  •  Sunday: Closed except for events

Shop

The shop is on the ground floor beside front of house. Open during our regular gallery opening hours.

  •  Tuesday – Saturday: 11am – 5pm
  •  Thursday: 11am – 8pm
  •  Sunday: 12pm – 4pm
  •  Monday: Closed
