The inspiration came from Jack B Yeats’ much loved painting The Toy Theatre and the project was developed by The Model in collaboration with Branar Téatar do Pháistí, Ireland’s most famous children’s theatre company.

11am, Wed. 1 Dec.

This Artist Breakfast Club will be hosted online. Each ticket has the Zoom details so you can log in on the day. You will still be able to interact with the artists presenting.

Artist Nadia Temerji, who recently completed The Model/Create Residency in partnership with Sligo Arts Service., will be presenting some of the work that she developed during the residency. An artist interested in making playful relationships between ideas and materials, Nadia uses her practice to explore collaborative, socially engaged arts.

Also presenting on the day is artist Hazel McCrann. Hazel is a painter based in Cliffoney who has an MA in Fine Art from the Sligo Institute of Technology. Her paintings offer a dramatic embodiment of thoughts and emotions acted out through the process of painting. They attempt to capture “the elusive - that which lies on the periphery of our vision. Through the painting process, glimpses of what lies on the fringes of awareness are offered.”
