The Model presents RMS Titanic

IX
“Coagulate with cold and dark the sea
Sucks down Titanic as the hiss of steam
Dies over empty distance. The boats gaze
On what was home, eleven storys high,
Commotion crowding on its decks, its lights
Tilting above them as the band plays on.”
(excerpt taken from Anthony Cronin’s epic poem : RMS Titanic)

And the band will play on! Musicians Dónal Lunny, Alison Sleator and Graham Henderson collaborate with poet Anthony Cronin for a performance that stormed the boards at Dublin writers and Kilkenny Arts festivals alike.

In the Irish Examiner Donal Lunny said “We have taken his brilliant poem ‘RMS Titanic’ — which has been described as the best epic poem of the 20th century — and combined it with music.”

A word to the wise- not to be missed!
