Fine collection of Irish artists We were impressed by The Model, an art museum housed in the re-purposed Model High School, a sober columned affair with interior spaces and a modern add-on that lent themselves to galleries with long sight lines.

Houses some worthwhile collections The light is superb and the collections on show included some stunning pieces.

Unexpected A very unexpected and quite lovely modern art museum!

Outstanding public gallery This is the sort of sophisticated venue normally only found in a much larger city. Interesting permanent and temporary exhibitions of the highest international standard.
