Sligo Global Kitchen’s first Autumn Event

After crowning last seasons events with a dinner at the generous hosts Osta Cafe and Wine Bar last summer (whose Manager and director Brid Torrades has generously accepted to train members of Global Kitchen in the food art of pastry and desert making) we are now pleased to open our new season!

Thanks to the generous funding from The Community Foundation of Ireland through The Model, Sligo Global Kitchen can confirm events from this September 2017 right through to May 2018. People involved in the project, especially those living in direct provision, now have monthly events to look forward to with a project in a space where they feel empowered.

To kick off the autumn season, The Syrian Refugees From Ballaghaderreen have generously accepted an invitation to cater for the main meal at our first event this September on Sat. 16 from 3 pm. As usual it is family friendly and free. Everyone is welcome to join in and donations will be accepted on the day.

A string of 4 more events are to be held after then till December so, watch this space for updates.
