The Model invites the public to celebrate Africa Day: Rhythms of Africa – A Day of Culture and Creativity Celebrating Africa on Sunday, 24 May from 1pm to 8.30pm, with a vibrant programme of art, food, music and performance celebrating the richness and diversity of African cultures. This family-friendly event will feature cultural artefacts, African cuisines, creative activities for children and families, and a dedicated Africa Day celebration designed especially for young people. Audiences can enjoy workshops and live performances including song, dance and a theatrical interpretation of an Igbo wedding ceremony. Participants include Aremoja Women’s Group, Dance Fix Ireland, Igbo Association Sligo, Sligo Global Kitchen, Sligo Integration Chorus and many more.
