Patrick Hall; Beginnings, curated by Hall’s long-time friend and fellow painter Nick Miller, reflects on an artistic career defined by an unknowable and undefinable spirit. From Hall’s emergence as an artist in Spain in the late 1950s, to new beginnings that continue today against the odds in his studio in rural Co Sligo, this show celebrates a unique artistic voice and vision.

On 6 Nov. 2021, The Model was delighted to welcome Patrick Hall and Nick Miller to discuss their collaborative exhibition, Patrick Hall; Beginnings, curated by Nick Miller. This recorded conversation presents an enlightening insight into the works from the past and present of Hall’s long artistic career, from his emergence as an artist in London in the 1960s, to works made in the present day at his studio in rural Sligo.
