The Education Team at The Model with The Gallery Café can offer a complete tour package for your summer outing. The children will have an interactive guided tour of our galleries and The Model building, followed by a workshop tailored to your own preferences. Finally, finish the tour with tasty lunch, toasted freshly baked bread with ham and/or cheese filling and delicious hot chocolate topped with marshmallows.

Remembering 1916

As we remember the centenary of the Easter Rising 1916, the pupils can see first hand how art captured the events of that period in our history. With emphasis on the historical paintings of Jack Yeats and others, but also exploring the links between art, literature, poetry and the political thought of the time. Many of the leaders of the rebellion were educated in the arts. We hope to create a space for the children to discover the ideology of the time expressed through art, and to encourage expression of their own ideology through art and literature.
