Informal Music Afternoons are a series of monthly events, presented in partnership with Sligo Baroque Orchestra, where an eclectic mix of music is performed in a welcoming format in The Model’s Atrium space. The ideas behind the concerts are to introduce concert-goers to music that might be outside their normal listening repertoire; to develop a new audience for chamber music of all types; and to provide a new platform for instrumentalists from the Sligo area and beyond.
The concerts start at 1pm, but we recommend coming at 12:30pm so you can enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine from the wonderful atrium café prior.
Informal Music Afternoons are presented by Sligo Baroque Orchestra in partnership with The Model, and receive assistance from The Arts Council and Sligo County Council.
