Informal Music Afternoon in May

Sun. 7 May 1 – 3pm

The Informal Music Afternoon is an ideal way to spend a calm Sunday afternoon. The idea behind this event is to make classical music accessible for all, by means of an informal concert with a relaxed atmosphere in a cafe-style setting. Musicians perform classical works in addition to a non-classical section – often folk, traditional or jazz.

The May IMA will feature performances from Amici Trio (Catriona Ryan – Flute; Martin Johnson – Cello; and Aileen Cahill – Piano); Sligo Baroque Orchestra with guests Patrick Early, violin, and John Flanagan, oboe, will perform J S Bach’s concerto for violin, oboe, strings and continuo in C minor; and alt-folk band GreenBirdFlying (Cliodhna Quinlan, Mark Murphy and Mandi Frankham) will perform a selection of original music.

Ósta@TheModel will be open from 12 noon serving refreshments and a selection of lite bites.
