Dejan Despic’s Sonatina B-A-C-H takes the musical notes in Bach’s name as a starting point for a short, three-part structure comprising Intrada, Arietta and Scherzino. Bach’s Sinfonials (or Three-Part Inventions) were written in the 1720s as pedagogical aids. Telemann was considered by a number of his contemporaries to be Germany’s greatest living composer and an important link between the Baroque and Classical eras. Mozart’s “Adagio, Minuet and Rondo” were published together as Musik für drei Violinen in 1941.

The three performers are highly sought after violinists who came together to realise the CD project Refleksija (reflection). The project includes Serbian and Irish art music for solo violin and the unusual chamber grouping of violin trio.

Admission: €20 (€10 students on the night), €5 Children
