Based on a Murakami short story, South Korean filmmaker Lee Chang-dong’s (Poetry 2010) has fashioned a masterful mystery thriller about obsession, unrequited love and alienation.
Jong-soo (Yoo Ah-in) rival for the affection of Hae-mi (Jeon Jong-seo) is the urbane Ben (Steven Yeun).
Desire turns to obsession as Jong-soo questions not only Hae-mi attraction to Ben, but also Ben’s very strange hobby.
