Voices of Home, A Celebration of African Culture and Community

2 – 5 pm: Exhibition – showcasing the work of Sierre-Leone born artist Julianknxx, Chorus in Rememory of Flight features performances, personal stories and contexts collected to create a series of films that document the testimonies of African diasporic voices in Europe.

4 pm: Choral Performance: A rich tapestry of Sligo’s African diasporic voices come together through a series of workshops, in response to the exhibition, culminating in a powerful choral performance that echoes the oral history traditions of African cultures.

4.30 pm: Sligo Global Kitchen: present Flavours of Africa, inviting all communities to come together to share food and stories at their communal gathering.
