Director: Dag Johan Haugerud
Cast: Andrea Bræin Hovig, Tayo Cittadella Jacobsen, Marte Engebrigtsen
Info: 110 mins | Norway | 2024 | Cert: 15
Marianne (Andrea Braien Hovig), a pragmatic, unattached Oslo doctor specialising in urology, is taking a ferry to a nearby island where she has been set up on a blind date with Ole Harald (Thomas Gullestad), a divorced geologist, when she runs into her nurse colleague Tor (Tayo Citadella Jacobsen), a sexually confident gay man who uses the ferry as a venue for hook-ups arranged on dating apps. Tor, who often spends whole nights on the ferry seeking casual encounters with men, shares his experiences of spontaneous intimacy. Intrigued by his fresh perspective on love, Marianne begins to explore whether casual intimacy could also be an option for her. With Love, Haugerud questions conventions with a wry sense of humour, while treating his characters with compassion, delivering a moving treatise on contemporary relationships.

Director: Yorgos Lanthimos
Cast: Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, Alicia Silverstone
Info: 120 mins | Ireland-UK-USA-Canada-South Kore | 2025 | 35mm | Cert: 15
Teddy (Jesse Plemons) and his cousin Don (Aidan Delbis) are preparing to kidnap Michelle (Emma Stone), the CEO of a local pharmaceutical company, for which Teddy works as a box packer, an audacious ploy that if successful will save both Teddy’s terminally ill mother and potentially all of humanity, too. Because despite appearances, Michelle is in fact an alien from Andromeda, cunningly disguised as a human, coordinating devious experiments on cancer patients as she awaits the arrival of her mothership. At least that’s what the terminally online Teddy believes. With their quarry imprisoned in Teddy’s family home, a battle of wits ensues between the resourceful CEO and her delusional captors. A remake of the South Korean film, Save the Green Planet (2003), Yorgos Lanthimos’s latest is an uproarious satire of conspiracy theories and fake news.

Director: Richard Linklater
Cast: Ethan Hawke, Margaret Qualley, Bobby Cannavale, Andrew Scott
Info: 100 mins | USA-Ireland | 2025 | Cert: 15A
Before Rodgers and Hammerstein, there was Rodgers and Hart. March 31st, 1943: legendary lyricist Lorenz Hart (Ethan Hawke in one of his finest performances) sees his professional and private life unravel during the opening night party for his former partner Richard Rodgers’ (Andrew Scott) hit show, Oklahoma! The action plays out in real time in Sardi’s bar in New York’s theatre district, where Hart has decamped to avoid the after-party; as he converses with bartender Eddie (Bobby Cannavale), his struggle with alcoholism, loneliness, and a deep sense of professional and personal displacement is revealed. As Rodgers’ star ascends – his collaboration with Oscar Hammerstein II will reshape Broadway, leaving Hart increasingly marginalised – Blue Moon becomes a poignant chamber piece about the painful awareness that a once-golden partnership has irreversibly changed.

Sentimental Value
Thu. 19 Feb. 2026, 8pm
Director: Joachim Trier
Cast: Renate Reinsve, Stellan Skarsgård, Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas, Elle Fanning
Info: 133 mins | Nor | 2025 | Cert: 15 (BBFC)
Stage actress Nora (Renate Reinsve) and her sister Agnes (Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas) are reunited with their estranged father, Gustav (Stellan Skarsgård), a once-renowned film director, who reappears after their mother’s death. Gustav offers Nora the lead role in his new film about his own mother’s suicide, but when she declines, he casts American actress Rachel Kemp (Elle Fanning). Joachim Trier, working again with Renate Reinsve, star of his 2022 hit, The Worst Person in the World, uses Gustav’s autobiographical project as a means to unpack the family’s messy history, exposing layers of generational trauma and simmering resentment. Stellan is especially memorable as a director who realises that this could be his final chance to make the film he has previously gestured towards, and to heal the rift with his daughter.
