Lots of reasons to visit The Model this week
As the autumn evenings draw in, we’ve got lots of great reasons for you to visit The Model.
Our cinema programme, IFI @ The Model, has been a huge success in its opening weeks. The Secret in their Eyes is our movie this week, which received 4 Stars from the Irish Times.
Winner of the 2010 Oscar for Best Foreign Film, this is a story about a retired legal counsellor, Benjamin Esposito (Darin) who writes a novel to find closure for one of his past unresolved homicide cases and for his unreciprocated love with his superior – both of which still haunt him decades later.
This film screens this week only from Tuesday to Thursday at 8pm.
Other reasons to visit The Model this week include the opening of our new exhibition from the Niland Collection, Flight, featuring many of the collection’s most popular artists including Jack B Yeats, Louis le Brocquy, Patrick Hall and George (AE) Russell.
Music fans should also take note. This Friday, we are delighted to present an intimate triple-bill concert with rhizome[s], a tour of like-minded alternative music innovators. Dublin post new wave two-piece Thread Pulls are joined by Danish collective Thulebasen and the much-acclaimed Patrick Kelleher.
