Drawing Without Paper: Sunday Sketch

Dutch Artist Bart Lodewijks will lead two Sunday workshops whilst Artist-In-Residence at The Model. Participants are invited to draw using found materials. Bart describes the workshops as a chance for participants to draw naked:

“ I don’t mean without clothes, or nude models. Instead we will start from scratch, trying to find basic drawing material like gathering wood for a fire. We are going to draw in the public space and see what becomes relevant. “

Bart Lodewijks is notorious for his public art projects in cities and towns through out Europe and South America. In October, he commences a three year public art project in Sligo and its surroundings. Simply using chalk, a spirit level and a ladder he will navigate his way throughout the city , creating a linear web of beautiful intricate drawings.
