The Model’s public programme connects with its diverse audiences through socially-engaged art projects, where thought-provoking artistic processes are equally as relevant as artistic outcomes.

Our projects are a catalyst for experimentation, collaboration and thoughtful dialogue, where audiences are invited to deepen their relationship and understanding of art.

The Model aims to strengthen cultural debate, locally and nationally, of diverse approaches to art practice, both in community and public contexts.

Sligo Global Kitchen

Sligo Global Kitchen is a collaborative arts project between The Model, residents of Globe House and artist Anna Spearman. The project is a gesture of solidarity, celebrating the everyday rituals of cooking and eating as a way of making connections between people and communities. Sligo Global Kitchen is generously funded by the Community Foundation of Ireland.
